Galak penggunaan bahasa Melayu menerusi cara kreatif

Demi melestarikan warisan filem klasik Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee, sebuah penerbitan pelajar Berita Harian (BH), Gen G, akan menganjurkan satu peraduan menghasilkan TikTok atau video berdasarkan filem-filem itu.


Dua kategori bagi pelajar sekolah menengah dan rendah dibuka bagi membolehkan sekolah-sekolah menghantar TikTok atau video berdasarkan filem yang dipilih.

Para pelajar boleh melakonkan semula babak-babak filem itu, menari dan/atau menyanyi dengan cara yang kreatif dan menghantar TikTok atau video dengan tempoh kurang dari 1 minit.

TikTok atau video akan diadili berdasarkan kreativiti dan penggunaan bahasa Melayu. Ia juga perlu menerapkan nilai-nilai baik yang boleh dipelajari para pelajar.

“Filem-filem Allahyarham P. Ramlee mempunyai banyak unsur pengajaran dari sudut sosial yang masih relevan untuk diketahui para pelajar hari ini.

“Selain menghargai filem-filem klasik ini dengan menyanyi, menari atau melakonkan semula babak filem secara kreatif, peraduan ini diharap dapat menggandingkan penggunaan bahasa Melayu dalam wadah moden seperti video atau TikTok dengan cara yang menyeronokkan,” kata Editor BH, Encik Nazry Mokhtar.







Pada 2023, Gen G juga telah menganjurkan satu bengkel video bagi para guru-guru bahasa Melayu di kafe The Malayan Council yang dihadiri lebih 60 guru. Ia membolehkan mereka menggunakan wadah baru ini bagi pengajaran bahasa Melayu di bilik darjah.

Bagi peraduan ini, sekolah-sekolah boleh menghantar maksimum dua kumpulan dan setiap kumpulan tidak melebihi empat orang.

Pendaftaran dibuka sehingga 9 Februari 2024. Sekolah-sekolah boleh mendaftar dengan mengimbas kod QR yang tertera di dalam poster atau ke https://gengsub.sph.com.sg/video_registration.


Sekolah perlu menghantar TikTok atau video selewat-lewatnya 13 Mac. Maklumat penghantaran video akan diberikan selepas pendaftaran dibuat. Pihak sekolah boleh menghantar video tidak lebih dari 1 minit, resolusi 1080 x 1920 ke https://gengsub.sph.com.sg/videocomp_sub sebelum 13 Mac 2024.


Pemenang pertama bagi kategori sekolah menengah dan rendah masing-masing akan menerima baucar tunai $1,000 berserta trofi dan sijil.

Tempat kedua akan memenangi baucar tunai $800 berserta trofi dan sijil. Hadiah sagu hati akan diberikan bagi setiap kategori iaitu baucar tunai $500 berserta sijil.

Para pemenang akan diumumkan di media sosial dan laman BH, serta Telegram Gen G pada 18 Mac.

Satu acara penyampaian hadiah akan diadakan di Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS). Tarikhnya akan diumumkan.

Video, TikTok P. Ramlee oleh pelajar harus ada nilai, guna bahasa yang baik: Pengadil


Para pengadil ‘Peraduan Menghasilkan Video dan TikTok bagi Sekolah-Sekolah’ berdasarkan filem-filem Allahyarham P. Ramlee ingin melihat video atau TikTok yang berasaskan nilai serta disampaikan dengan penggunaan bahasa Melayu yang baik.

Di samping mempunyai struktur, ia perlu mampu memberikan mesej dalam masa yang singkat melalui wadah video atau TikTok.

Peraduan yang dianjurkan oleh penerbitan pelajar Berita Harian (BH), Gen G, itu akan diadili oleh tiga pengadil iaitu Pengarah Urusan Inkhouse Media Pte Ltd (Singapura), Datuk Khairul Anwar Salleh; Pakar Kanan Rekaan Media Untuk Pembelajaran Kementerian Pendidikan (MOE), Cikgu Asnida Daud; dan Ketua Gaya Hidup BH, Cik Haryani Ismail.


“Peraduan ini adalah satu usaha yang unik bagi menggalakkan apresiasi filem Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee kepada generasi muda.

“Dengan menggunakan wadah media sosial seperti TikTok, ia menambahkan ekspresi karya Tan Sri P. Ramlee dalam bentuk yang baru dan relevan dengan generasi muda,’’ kata Datuk Khairul, warga Singapura yang juga mantan Naib Presiden Astro Malaysia dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Rangkaian Televisyen Media Prima dan Primeworks Studio.

Datuk Khairul sedang menghasilkan filem biopik P. Ramlee Jeritan Batinku bagi menyelami isi hati dan menelusuri perjalanan pahit getir yang pernah dilalui seniman itu bagi memperkenalkannya kepada golongan muda.



Ditanya apakah yang ingin dilihat dari video atau TikTok yang dihasilkan, Cikgu Asnida berkata: “Kreativiti amat luas tetapi di dalam pendidikan, ia harus berasaskan nilai.

“Oleh kerana filem-filem itu adakan bertemakan filem-filem P. Ramlee, ia boleh mempunyai unsur-unsur jenaka tetapi perlu mempunyai objektif berasaskan nilai yang ingin disampaikan serta penggunaan bahasa yang baik dalam jangka masa yang singkat.”

Turut bersetuju, Cik Haryani berharap peraduan itu akan menjana kreativiti pelajar untuk menghasilkan kandungan menghiburkan serta memiliki nilai-nilai tersendiri yang boleh dijadikan pengajaran bersama bersandarkan babak atau lagu dalam filem ikonik P. Ramlee.

“Mereka dapat beri kesegaran pada mahakarya P. Ramlee yang terhasil berpuluh tahun lamanya dahulu, sekali gus mengembalikan nostalgia pada kerja seni yang tak lapuk dek hujan dan tak lekang dek panas,’’ ujar Cik Haryani.

1. The competition described in this document (“Berita Harian Gen G TikTok/Video

Competition” or “Competition”) is organized by SPH Media Limited of 1000 Toa

Payoh North, Singapore 318994

2. By participating in the Competition, participants agree to be bound by the terms and

conditions of the Competition (“Terms”) which are set out below. SPH reserves the

right to change the Terms at its sole discretion without notice.

3. Except as otherwise specified in these Terms, SPH’s decision on all matters relating to

the Competition is final, conclusive and binding on all participants and no

correspondence will be entertained.

Dates and Structure

4. The Competition period is from [9 February to 24 March 2024].

encouraged to read through the details and Terms carefully if you wish to participate.

Eligibility

5. The Competition is open to students currently pursuing their Primary 4-5 or Secondary

2-3 education in Singapore.

6. Participants below 18 years of age should obtain parental or legal guardian’s consent

and agree to abide by and comply with the same.

Joining Instructions

7. To enter the Competition, participants must comply with the following:

a) Complete and submit a duly completed registration form in accordance with

Clause 8 below; and

b) Be part of a team comprising up to a maximum of 4 members.

Submission of Registration Form, entries and deliverables

8. Please note the following rules regarding participation and submission of the

Registration Form for the Competition:

a) Each school can submit up to maximum of 2 teams only;

b) Each team can be represented by students from different levels of a school;

c) Each team must be led by a teacher who will register on behalf of the team;

d) Each team shall submit one Registration Form through the team’s Teacher-in-

Charge via [https://gengsub.sph.com.sg/videocomp] by no later than [9 February

2024]; and

e) All details and particulars submitted must be true, accurate and complete. Any

incorrect or incomplete information found in the entry will result in the

disqualification of the entry.

9. Submission of video

a) Students can sing or act based on P Ramlee movies and showcase them in a

creative and modern way (i.e., improvise songs using rap while retaining the

essence of the song).

b) Each team must submit a video (which is no longer than 1 minute and which

recorded team’s performance in accordance with clause 9(a) above), with a

resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels to this link -

10. All entries/deliverables must be submitted before specified deadlines to be eligible for

the Competition.

Judging Criteria, Prizes and Acknowledgment

11. A panel of judges selected by SPH in its sole discretion will decide on all eligible

entries and decide on the winners of the Competition.

12. The judges will decide on the final 8 winning teams from the entries submitted, of

which 4 winning teams will be from Primary School section and 4 winning teams from

Secondary School section.

13. The decision of the judging panel is final and binding and not subject to appeal. The

judges will be under no obligation to provide any reasons for their decisions.

14. SPH reserves the right not to award any prize, or to award one or more but not all of

the prizes. The decision of SPH shall be final, conclusive and binding on all

participants and winners, and no correspondence will be entertained.

15. All members of the 8 winning teams and their respective teachers-in-charge, and

immediate family members will be invited for the prize presentation event on [27 March

2024], to be held at Wisma Geylang Serai, from 230pm-5pm.

Prizes

16. The prizes available to the top 4 winners for each of the Primary and Secondary

Schools category of the Competition are as follows (in order of merit):

a) 1st Place: $1,000 Cash Vouchers + Trophy + Certificates

b) 2nd Place: $800 Cash Vouchers + Trophy + Certificates

c) Consolation Prize: $500 Cash Vouchers + Certificates

17. The final results of the Competition will be announced in BH print publication and on

social media in BH print and socials on [18 March 2024].

18. SPH will contact the winners selected by the judging panel but should a winner fail to

respond within thirty (30) days, he/she is taken to have forfeited and irrevocably given

up and waived all rights to participate and to claim the prize. In such an event, the

judging panel will select another winner to replace the winner who failed to respond.

Rights, Permissions and Intellectual Property

19. Participants warrant and guarantee that their videos/entries in this Competition are

their original work and design and do not violate or infringe any copyright, trademark

or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

20. The participants shall grant SPH an unrestricted, royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual,

irrevocable, non-exclusive licence to use, apply, reproduce, display (such as at a

public exhibition), broadcast, modify, summarise, adapt, sub-licence and

communicate the entries and their IP for any purpose whatsoever and at any time,

including (but not limited to) communicating the entries and IP to the public or to any

entity or for any other communication campaigns that SPH deems appropriate, which

may include media, case studies, social media, feature articles and other forms,

without any payment or compensation to the participants.

Personal Data

21. By agreeing to participate in the Competition, participants agree and consent to SPH,

its authorised service providers and its advertising and promotion agencies

collecting, using and/or disclosing your personal data including your name, picture,

image and voice for SPH’s publicity and/or advertising campaigns connected to the

Competition. Such use and disclosure will be without payment or compensation.

22. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SPH reserves the right, in its

sole discretion, to revise the rules of the Competition, or revise or cancel the

Competition at any time, or to modify, terminate, or suspend the Competition should

unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond SPH's control corrupt of

impair the administration, security, and fairness of the entries. SPH is not responsible

for any human or other error that may occur in the processing of the entries, nor

responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation

or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of,

entries nor for any technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software,

malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry

information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or

any web site(s).

Governing Law

22. The Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
